Marina,
I am not sure what your intentions are with this figurative , but it does make sense to me!
There is a fine balance between the elements in the painting. I think that you should submit it to some competition.
The wings are there, no need to paint them.

Wow, that's a stunning painting! I wish I could hang it in my living room.

Marina, another beautiful peace of art. Well done! This is the part where you say, "where is my next canvas". "What shall I paint next".

All the best to you.

Painting the invisible : that's a challenge I like!
Competitions? why not...
But I'm not sure there's a lot of competitions over here...
Anyway, thanks Allan.

Bonfim, Thank you.
For the moment, the painting is hang in our living room, and the babies who come to visit us like it a lot : They watch it and then try to take the same pose !

Thanks Heidi!
No, it is not a commission. I'm afraid that people don't have much culture here, so I decided to make some personal work to impose my artistic vision. It may take longer, but I don't want to paint portraits in contradiction with my sensibility...

Hi Mischa!
Thanks for your help!
Oh no! I'm not wondering what will be next: I've already made the choice between a hundred exciting projects, and I work on the preparations!
Here's a close up with a few last corrections.

Gosh Marina, I did mean to respond to this last month! Sorry I'm late.

I like this very much; it's great to see a personal work of yours. I like the drama; how you've isolated the delicate little human by the stark and cool surroundings. Despite the simple conception it is a sophisticated and thought provoking image, and beautifully painted.

Such a cute little guy! Okay, so it is not a commission like Apotheoun isn't either, but is this kid someone real in your life, or was he generated from your imagination? My hunch is he is real! Well done!

Garth

Aside from the obvious, excellent technical ability, this painting has a very strong visual impact. I like the expression on the cherub
