Emily

Hi, everyone.

This is a head study for a larger painting but her skin tone is so beautiful I just wanted to share how much fun I had painting it with other artists. Thanks for looking.

You're right, her skin tone is very beautiful, not only this, your work is very beautiful too.

How beautiful, Vianna!

I not only love the skin tones, but the facial expression and the use of edges.

Vianna, this is stunning! I can't imagine what the larger painting will look like, but this stands on its own as an exceptional portrait. The colors you've used in the skin are so rich and interesting to the eye. And you've captured such a lovely expression. I could look at it for a long time.

She is as pleasant as she is lovely and a real pleasure to work with. She photographs much older than she is and I had to make the transitions very soft to keep her young. This was meant to be a quick study but I obviously got carried away. I am hoping to purchase a snazzy new SLR soon and will bring her back for more sittings. By the way after reading the thread on Rose Grey I purchased some and used it in this painting. It's a great color!
