Anticipation
This year I dabbled in some non-commission work - I like the change of pace, and hope to do more in 2006. This peice is 24 x 36 and sold to the collector who purchased one of the portraits of my son Alex.

Gosh, Linda, did you just have a creative energy surge or did you get a bunch of slides made?
I like the rich colors and textures in this one. Thanks for posting the closeup--I think you've captured the watchful, slightly anxious expression on her face. Congratulations on your sale!

Linda, this painting has a definite Bonnard feeling which I like very much. I love the looking out the window composition and I admire you for working on such a large canvas.

Hi LInda
I had to look him up before responding! Wow thanks for the compliment and I will sure be buying a book on his work - definitely someone I should be learning about. I've heard the name, but I don't think I've paid attention to him. Thanks for the comment!

Yes, Linda (and Linda), The first thought that struck me was Bonnard too. This definitely has that feeling about it, which may be profitable to build on, as a 21st century impressionist.

Linda,
What gorgeous color! Actually it reminds me somewhat of a Frieseke, an American impressionist.
Just a beautiful job, orchestrating color like this is a refined art in itself.
Just great Linda.
