Just released "Portrait Sculpture Simplified"

I am happy to announce that today I released my first book entitled "Portrait Sculpture Simplified". It is an instruction manual covering the complete process of making a portrait sculpture in ceramic or bonded bronze. You can read the details, view the TOC and sample pages, and if interested, order the book from this link:eBook by Heidi Maiers

Currently, the book is only available as an eBook on CD from this page on my web site and also from The Compleat Sculptor at www.sculpt.com. It is 194 pages with 352 color illustrations. I am so glad to be finished at long last - now I can get back to sculpting!

Congratulations, Heidi. Do you know when you will release it in hard copy?

Thanks Josef,

I submitted the book idea to Watson-Guptill a few months ago, but they said not to expect an answer for at least 8 months. I contacted IstBooks Publications, but they said that they do not publish books containing colored pictures at this time. So for now, it's anyone's guess.

Update

Here it is 11 years later and I realize I never followed up on this topic. About a year after the first release, I updated and made a second release. With this release I also offered a printed book and CD package. I never published the book formally - just used a self-publishing company (Lulu.com) - and sell the book/CD package through my website, and just the CD on amazon. To date, 1320 copies of the book have sold through my site, which is just fine with me as a one person operation and no splitting of commissions! I hear stories of authors of published books getting something like 1% of the sale or something ridiculous like that. Maybe not even that much, but there's something to be said for not having to process orders, pack, go to the post office to ship, etc.
