Portrait of Heather

I posted this portrait, 30" x 24" oil on linen, a few weeks ago under the oil critiques section with no response. This is my 15 yr. old daughter (yes I said 15) Heather.

Thought I'd try again here.

If you see some opportunities for improvement please post under the one I have in the critiques section.

Thanks in advance!

Dress

As I mentioned in the other posting, the dress came out blue in the photo. Not sure why.

Mike,

That is beautiful. She is 15? I suggest leaving the painting up, but locking her up til she is 21 at least.

Thanks for the comment Kimberly.

And I like your recommendation. I'm getting a bit tired of trying to keep the wolves away.

Hi Mike,

I really like this painting of your beautiful daughter. There's something about her expression that shows how young she is - possibly a trace of "Oh, DAD!" As she gets older she will undoubtedly grow more accustomed to putting on a "photo face."

Congratulations on a fine painting.

Best wishes,
Linda

Thanks Linda for your kind words.

I have a wonderful daughter but she doesn't show alot of emotion as you can see. She doesn't see it as a lack of emotion but as extreme maturity!
