Drawing of a Young Girl

This was done from life, in charcoal, in two sessions, as a warmup to the medium before leaving for Southern Pines to study at Mims Studios.

I see this as a bookmark of where I am at the beginning of academic training.

Mari,

I really like this drawing, particularly the dark values (hair, eyes, upper lip and neck). Great Harmony! Doesn't look like a warm-up but a full sprint!
