Candlelight picture

This photo is the reference for a mini painting I am doing for a gallery. The final size will be 2" x 4". The medium is colored pencil on paper.

Gorgeous light. Can you post a less-compressed jpeg?

Michelle,

I think that this one will be better. I am sorry it took me a couple of days to post it. I had a art show this weekend. (Just a little horn tootin', I won four first place ribbons, best of show, three purchase awards and tied myself for people's choice with two of my entries. I entered five pieces.) Ok back to business. Here it is.

Congratulations, Rebecca!

You are such a busy bee. I fully enjoy when I hear your efforts are bringing you results. I wish I could say the same, but

This will make a great painting/drawing. I always like a photo that has most of the work done for me. This is one of those. It looks like a painting already. Very well composed.

One thing to be careful of though...the expression on her face might me misconstrued as being a little angry, you should be able to soften it as you work. I'd love to paint this.
