Debie from Life

I completed this pastel from life in about 40 minutes (off and on). I just wanted to prove to myself that I could still work from life. I had to finish it quickly because she did not have a lot of time and the lights were hot. They were also very severe. This was beyond my control for various reasons. I did take a photo that I will post when they get back from the lab.

She loved it. The only complaint is that she says she looks too old. She is 38. Oh well!

Comments anyone?

Rebecca

Nice job, Rebecca.

You can draw! It takes me forty minutes to set up my easel! I don't know anything about pastels, but the only comment is that it could be a little looser and less tight. But what do I know?

Great, Rebecca.

Are you going to add some finishing touches when you get the photo back? Like do something with the wall above the fire place? How big is it?

Tammy

Alicia,

I know it is very tight. I am so used to those colored pencils that are sharpened to a pin-point that it is hard to loosen up. That is one of the reasons that I wanted to do this.

Tammy,

Well...I don't know, I hadn't thought about it. It was just an excercise to see if I could still do it. I probably will though, because I am such a dad gum perfectionist. It is the size of the Canson pastel paper which I believe is 19" x 25".

Thanks for giving it a look see!

"Dad gum" and "Look see" - boy can you tell I'm from the south or what?

Rebecca
