Baby Sketch
Haven't been around for a while, but here's a sketch I did today that I think (hope) will please my customer. All comments welcome.

By the way, I realize that just as a photograph of a subject can "clump" values, so can a photograph of a drawing, so it could well be that your drawing has even more subtle variation than we can see on the monitors. For example, it does appear that you've deliberately eased the edge of the face directly to the right of the eye, as I look at it again. If I look at it later on another computer, or after sunrise brightens up this room, it might look different again. So take all comments "in that light."

Thank you Steven, that was a very thoughtful, very analytical critique. I appreciate your taking the time to look closely at my sketch. I think your suggestions are all valid and will make positive subtle improvements to this little drawing. I especially think lightening or giving a little reflected light in the cheek area is a good idea.
Thanks much!

Christy, this is a lovely subject and a well thought out drawing. I am sure your clients will be quite pleased.
I do agree with Steven on all points mentioned but do add that consideration be taken/tested how much to lighten the outline of the entire face on the left side our right.
I am of the opinion that it could go as far as the paper in some areas. Or balance the right side with the left side. This is just food for thought.
All the best to you

I like that very much, Christy! A beautiful, sensitive drawing, and I really like your use of outline.
