Garth Herrick and Tony Pro in International Artist (Issue 45)
Hi all,
I just noticed that International Artist Magazine, Issue 45 (October/November 2005), is out on the news stands already. In "The Art of the Portrait" on pages 27 through 29, there is a brief showcase of the seven 2005 Honors Awards recipients.
Both Tony Pro and I are on page 29.
Jane and Iona, is the painting of mine included in the showcase. The color is a little off on the warm side and it is a little on the light side too. The Forum link images look much more faithful, in my opinion.
Girl with a Rose, is Tony's lovely portrait.
Other Honors Awards recipients for 2005 are: Jennifer Welty, Glenn Harrington, Xiangyuan Jie, Stephen Pan, Jean-Paul Tibbles, and John Michael Carter.
It is nice to read how each in the showcase describes how they approach their portraits.
