This painting was fun!
I had a good time with this one... this is my niece...
All I could think of was Sargent's paintings of his niece in hoods.... Gotta love him!
Enjoy!

Very nice feeling and softness to the overall impression. I would like to see just a bit more detail in perhaps the eye nearest to us, though. One or two strokes with contrast and sharpness would just about do it.

I love the softness of this. I do agree with Michelle though - just to let us see the eye more.

Thanks for the input!

In my opinion -- such as it is -- sharpening one eye would throw off the overall softness, but I'm not sure.

Hi Tony,
What I particularly like about your way of painting is the "wet" look of the skin and the unity of colors. I guess these qualities derives from your

I haven't been replying to other posts you've made but I have to now. I really like your style. Others have touched on all of the things I like about it already so I won't go to much into that.
My favorite thing about your style is your subdued color. It's not too bright, it's not too dark. It's muted and it's great. A lot of Sargent's paintings were like this and I've always admired the fact that he would pay attention and promote muted colors as they appear in reality.
I went to your website and I enjoyed your work but I just wish that the images were larger.
Great work all in all.
