This drawing was actually the first drawing I had ever done of the full body in detail. My grandfather came up to me asking if I could do it. I did it, sold it, and being the first full body drawing I've ever attempted, I believe I did a decent job on it. The only thing that bothers me is the background and I am sure many of you would agree. The two people are actually my cousin and her new husband. I have only seen them once in my life, so it was a new face for me basically. The photo was on a sailboat with some island in the background. The solid white, clouded sky doesn't really make much justice for the drawing. All in all though I was pleased being the first time to do this.

I used ebony graphite pencils on 18" x 24" strathmore paper. And unfortunately I do not have a photo reference.

A nice moment-in-time drawing, Chase. Things look to be pretty well where they belong.

I really appreciate your time Steve. You've helped me so much with the last two drawings I have posted. I don't like when I do a drawing for someone and they just say they are happy with it. I feel that I need a critique or something. And that's why I feel privileged to be a part of this community. So Steve, I take all your thoughts into consideration. And thank you once again.

Chase, I like the background, personally. It says outside, without distracting from the emotion of the drawing.

My criticism is woith the teeth and hands, two elements which, if you choose to draw, require good technique and drawing. The fingers of the lady appear to be too fat. The hand of the man appears to be elongated. The teeth are obscure. Perhaps a bit more edge to the skyline of the teeth would help. All in all, a pleasing drawing.
