I've just searched all your posts and all the works you've posted are exquisite. What is your background? Have you thought of contacting Cynthia about joining her stable of artists?

Thank you

Thank you, Mari for your kind words! You just made my day; it's good to hear compliments like that every once in a while. You asked about my backround. I'm basically a self taught painter, I have had no formal training, but in all reality no one is actually self taught. Everyone is my teacher. I learn from studying the works of other artists. I read just about everything I can get my hands on about portrait painting. A few of my favorite art instruction authors are John Howard Sanden, and Harley Brown. Just recently I read Chris Saper's book which is also very good. Daniel Greene has remarkable portrait painting videos, you can learn a great deal from him. Well, anyway you can see that I love art and painting.

Henry,

Beautiful, wonderful portrait. I can't tell you what it means to me to see and to hear about a self-taught painter who is able to produce such quality work. It gives me great hope.

I love the expression you have caught, and how the image fades to the background! Love it!
