My mother
Here is a quick watercolour/gouache painting of my mother. Even though I've been focusing on some landscapes, I still felt the need to paint a portrait. I put in the robin to signify a mother's dedication towards her young. My mom has always been there for me. It's painted on a half sheet of stretched 140 cold pressed arches watercolour paper. 15" x 22"

I like your deep hues. Do you use transparent watercolors or opaque?

Brian, This is wonderful! I love the texture you've captured in her skin.
