Carlito,

Mighty fine painting.

I say "painting" instead of sketch. I really don't understand the term sketch in this context. Is there a point at which a sketch becomes a painting? To me the term "sketch" diminishes the effort somewhat, and this effort shouldn't be diminished in any way.

There are no bounds to my educational needs.

Also, I'm trying to be slightly provacative in case there is anyone out there who is still listening, and provocable. We may be like Gregory Peck and Ava Gardner in that movie "On The Beach," (I'd like to play Gregory if you don't mind) when G. P. drove his submarine up from Australia to San Francisco looking for life after the nuclear bomb wiped everyone out. "Waltzing Matilda" should be our theme song.

Apart from all that nonsense I especially like this sketchy painting, and all the other paintings of your daughter. I'm partial to the daughter thing.

Miguelito

Lovely painting Carlos! I too like these paintings you do of your daughter -- they always seem to capture the sense of being a snippet of real-life, rather than posed. . . Beautiful work!

Welcome back Carlos, I have been on a hiatus like yourself although I have nothing to show yet.

I do like the colours you have chosen and the play of light in your sketchy painting...

Michael,
so you think I know the difference between a sketch and a painting? Half the time I don

Wonderful! I love the mood and the atmosphere--even if the camera was a little less than professional Well done and welcome back to the forum after your absence.
