Hmm, interesting and beautiful. I wonder if this is the same photographer whose work I saw in the current Town & Country magazine. I picked up a copy just to look at the photo section for one article. Single light source, same mottled background. If it's a different photographer, maybe there is a "new" trend beginning...

Wow - thanks for sharing that link. The photos look like old masters paintings, like a modern day Caravaggio.
I was surprised to see so much lens distortion, though, which is especially apparent on some of the hands. Seems like he used this device intentionally on a lot of the shots, for some reason.
