A couple of recent studies

Hello,

Here are a couple of recent studies from life, both done in about 3 hours each. One is a watercolor on paper (16x20 inches) and the other is egg tempera on panel (12x16 inches).

It is somewhat hard to see but the egg tempera is actually on a sized canvas (with pronounced texture) mounted to a panel, no ground. I was surprised to find that it made a great surface, the texture actually making it easy to blend colors and glaze.

Comments welcome.
