I just received news that I am a Merit Award Winner in the ArtKudos juried show for this painting:

Dear Thomasin,
VERY big congratulations to you! Your piece is real lesson for us all on handling skin and modelling flesh...has much more substance than pretty much all the rest of the painting entries.

Congratulations, Thomasin! This is so well deserved! I love this painting, the surface of the skin and the substance of the figures are both so powerfully expressed. The figures together give the impression of one body--as I suppose they are! I'd love to see this in person one day.
