Emma

This is my latest commission. I learned my lesson after the last commission that it's better to have your composition critiqued *before* you start painting.

So here is 4-year-old Emma in her back yard. This painting will be 24"x36". I think her head measures 6.375 inches. My client doesn't want to go any larger than 36", though.

Her mother is concerned that she looks too stiff. Any advice on how to "loosen her up" would be much appreciated!

There's a deer in the background I will probably not include (though it may be nice over to one side of her). I look forward to hearing your opinion.

Thank you,
Sandra
