Michelle

Still working on the loose/tight conundrum. I am pleased with Michelle's features on this one. It may just be the best mouth I've ever drawn...

Charcoal/white pastel on toned paper. Approx. 17" X 22."

David, I'm glad you took my advice and are posting more of your drawings. If I do not comment on every post know its a time factor and I have a lot on my plate at the moment.
This one of Michelle is awesome! The one of Jason looks good as well even though it was a slow day (if you know what I mean).

Wow, David! The values are so well-done you can almost feel the colors. She's such a real person--not only because of the mouth, but the eyes and the entire face. He hair is so real I feel I could lift it off the paper.

Very nice David. I like all your recent drawings.

This is a tough one. I think it's easier to go from tight to loose than it is going the other direction. For me, it's as if I must first identify the atoms and molecules, then work out from there.
