Open studio with color!
We have an open studio once (or twice sometimes) a month in my studio. About six of us get together. We've been doing this for over four years now. I originally started out having my models wear costumes and over the years they use their own creativity and come up with their own personas. They really look forward to modeling and ask me to schedule them in. Its always a surprise and tons of fun to see what they come up with.
Traditionally we have a pot luck lunch and I always put on a crock pot of soup that day. Everyone brings a little bite to eat. Its a joyous occasion!
These both are 18 X 24 oils.

Dianne,
Not only does this look like lots of fun, but also it's a great way to be imaginative about poses and settings that could lead to new ideas when faced with commissioned work.
As always I admire your fluid, light brushwork and colors. The painting of the "cowgirl" is my favorite because of the strong composition, the sense of personality, and the richness of the shadows.
