Half-a-Joni

My husband emptied out our basement and now I have a great studio space with beautiful lighting (Many thanks to the forum for information on lighting). I have been able to hold workshops and host group sessions where we hire a model to work from. I was experimenting this night working with minimal drawing then working all prima. I like the effect but was only able to finish half of Joni within two hours. Today I pondered adding to this painting to try and complete it. The second posting is Joni after she has been through Adobe in order for me to try out some ideas. I'm curious what other members have done to finish unfinished paintings?

Vianna,

Leave it alone.

It is in itself a beautiful example of beautiful color and brushwork.

Often students learn more from unfinished work, than from completed paintings.

There is a beautiful Gainsborough painting of his two daughters, that is unfinished, that I go back to often for inspiration.

Yes, it's a fabulous study. Leave it alone.

We really mean it.

Thanks Sharon and Chris

I was hoping to use it for competition and I'm not certain how a study will do but I appreciate your your wisdom. I'll leave it be.

I agree with Sharon and Chris. It's perfect as it is.
