Molly Wiliams Award Winner
Congratulations go to Molly Williams of this forum for winning a Certificate of Excellence Award at this year's International Portrait Competition.
This is the second year in a row that Molly has won an Excellence Award at the show.
I'm thrilled to see your career take off and hope it will lead to her soon being able to buy a car with two operating doors!
I've attached a shot of her painting. Molly specializes in children's portraits - a subject I simply don't have the talent to handle.

Here's a close up.
A painted portrait should be a good likeness.
It should be lively.
And it should have feeling.
Otherwise, you might as well take a photograph.
Remember folks, continually practice your life drawing and painting. Make it part of your program, like pushups.

Another one!
Dear Molly,
This is excellent news for a lovely portrait. Yay; another Forum certificate of excellence recipient! Linda Brandon and I join with you in this category. I wish I could see this in life.
Thanks Bill, Molly is quite deserving of this recognition.

Molly, this is fantastic news and I am thrilled for you!
And what a painting - I keep coming back to look at that fresh brushwork. What color! That girl just sings to us, I love it.

Congratulations, Molly! There's a really appealing expression in her eyes. I find myself staring into them trying to figure out exactly what she's telling me.

Congratulations with the award, Molly.
This is a fine portrait and I especially like how the brush strokes and colors are echoed in the background.

Molly,
Congratulations!! It's a beautiful portrait. I only wish we could see in person this, and all the paintings recieving the Excellent/Exceptional awards, along with the finalists. Very deserving.
