This is part of the "Visual Haiku" series that I have posted on various forums here. This particular painting was inspired by Japanese prints of women, particularly Hokusai.

Clive,

There is a very subtle--and effective in my opinion--interplay between flatness and three-dimensionality in this work. I can really see the reference to Japanese prints. Lovely colors in the fabric and in the light and shadow relationships. What are the dimensions, by the way?
