ReNae, it seems that you have several different questions. (How to get the best image with your digital camera, how to manipulate the resulting digital file, and how to set up your artwork to photograph it.)

(Mike, I think you and I were posting the same advice at the same time.) ReNae, do check out the section he recommends on photographing your art.

Also, have you had a chance to read through the various sections with info on digital cameras, photo editing software, etc? There's a ton of information in there that might help you.

Mike and Michele,

Thank you both for your prompt replies. I have been reading up on the scanning problems I'm having but really needed just a push to get me started with the actual photograph. I see that Karen's post actually has a stick figure drawing. Very appropriate for my training level in photography.

Now on to the graphics. You know, when I was in college, computers used punch cards. SO this is a trial and error, fatal error, critical error, error error error eorror...reboot error error.
