This 16x20 pencil portrait of a dear wife was commissioned by the husband from an old photo. In the original photo the wife was looking downward, so i moved her eyes to look at the camera. Also her hair was obscured by shadow which I removed to reveal her curls. I used a Blackwing pencil which is 4B on Canson pure-white paper.
