This 11x14 pencil portrait from last year of brothers and a sister at the beach was commissioned by the mom and drawn from a photo supplied by the mom. I drew it with a 'blackwing' pencil which is 4B grade on Canson Pure White paper. Not sure if this drawing is considered 'portrait' or 'figurative'! My first time around this forum.
Mike, there is a great sense of connection between the siblings. I love their gestures and the variation in spacing, and how these create interesting negative spaces.
