ribbon Reward Available!!!

I am trying to find the painting that was used as the model for the pewter angel which i've attached to this post.

- On this page is an angel, if anyone reading this is able to find the painting that this angel was derived from, then I will pay them $1,000.00

That's all, if the link isn't working, just cut and paste it into your browser or type in:

If for some reason you're not able to open the attachment, the same photo is available at:
www.grannysjewelrybox.com/signed3.htm

Thanks, and good hunting!!

PS - This reward WILL be paid, it is well worth it to me...

Mike,

I'm curious how you know it came from a painting. Have you run across information somewhere?

Actually, I'm not sure, I just feel really strong instincts on this one, I was an art history focus in college, it seems I've seen it before, but I don't know for sure that it came from a painting.

Hmmm

I've seen many drawings similar to this. I'll see what I can do....

Answer

No answer on this. Everyone has been stumped. It is worth $2,000 to whoever finds it.

Are you sure it's a painting?

I've seen something similiar in the illustrations contained in ancient maps. I have a CD ROM of these maps at the office and will take a look tomorrow.

If anybody else is looking you might want to try
http://www.eyewire.com/products/illustration/circaart/ Just look at the PDFs of angels/ancient maps and so forth. (a lot of these images are snips from classical paintings).

Based on my knowledge of history (I'm no expert though) my best guestimate is it might be Art Nouveau or Art Deco in origin.

Hope this helps in the hunt.
