Books about marketing often present ideas for self-promotion that I do not feel comfortable using. I think many other artists probably feel the same way, so we really need this book, which has been specifically prepared for us.
The strategies presented in this book are refreshingly sincere and natural, not pushy, forced or artificial. The author suggests many easily understood, motivational and accessible ideas using both traditional methods and utilitzing modern technology.
I particularly enjoyed and benefited from the chapter about putting together the dreaded artist statement. I believe this information alone is invaluable and I am definitely planning on referring to it again when I next tackle that previously painful process.
