Societe de pastellistes de France Prix d'Honneur

I'm just back from Paris, from the first European International pastel conference

I was delighted to be awarded the 'Prix d'honneur' at the exhibition with these paintings. They'll be exhibited at Limoges next year.

Margaret, this is terrific news, congratulations! These are beautiful drawings, strong and intense. I'm really happy to see that you're getting international recognition for these, what a wonderful feeling it must be for you.

Thank you Thomasin, your comments have always been full of insight and very supportive

Linda, I was totally surprised to win. Very inspiring, I'm dying to get painting again after a long journey home...

Marina, the event was held in Paris by the Pastellistes de France. (www.pastellistesdefrance.com)
It was so nice to soak up the atmosphere of nothing but pastels for 3 days
The lecures were in French
There were several master pastellist demonstrators, including Ken Paine and Gwenneth Barth. I'm not sure of the exact number of delegates, it seemed very crowded anyway!

I would certainly recommend attending.

These pastels are wonderful and you are very deserving of these honors.

Thank you, Sharon and Ilaria
This was my first such event, it was really enjoyable.
What a privilege to become immersed in art for 3 days in a beautiful city.
