Self portrait

This is a self portrait 9x12, oil on canvas. My last three self portraits I did while I was at school in Georgia. Now I am home for the summer and have been working on this and a portrait of my mother. It has been a bit different not having a professor or any students around to critique my work through the process. Maybe I will work on it a bit more. The ear looks like it could have more variety of color and show some shadow from the hair. I think i will re work the hair as well.

Good work on the hair. Now my eye goes to the face instead of being distracted by the hair.
