Finalist NEWS

I just got a letter saying my "Boy and Birthday Cake" watercolour was accepted into the North East Watercolor Society's 31st Annual International Open Exhibition (2007) . The actual show and jurying of awards happens in October. I am very pleased because watercolour is such a new medium for me and I am always on the verge of giving it up. So something like this really gives watercolour an renewed importance for me.

Now if only I could get the hang of pastels ...

Thanks very much, Chris.

(For a moment I thought you were a hidden watercolorist yourself with your WC awards, but then realized they meant West Coast and not Watercolor.)

Thank-you Sharon. Yes, it looks very much like I will attend, and make it into a holiday to boot. We all need a break! I haven't been to the east coast for about 10 years except for plane transfers to other destinations, and in October the trees will look so wonderful.
