Kimber, I love it! The relationship between your granddaughter and the cat is so evident, yet she is not hugging or petting or cuddling him on her lap, but looking at him and almost touching him with the sole of her foot. All the diagonals work to make it interesting and direct the viewer's attention toward the center. I also like the colors--understated.

Thank you for your kind words, Alex. I was nervous about posting it. It's like getting naked in front of a room full of strangers! Thanks, for taking the edge off.

Hi, Kim.

It's lovely! I'm agreed with Alex. She is expressing well about your painting that I was want to say.

My attention goes to your granddaughter's right foot toes. Those toes are almost tickling the cat's butt. or her tale. That connection diminished some kind of separation between the girl and the cat in the painting. And that make me expect the next exiting motions between them. And the stretched left leg formed more space sense in the composition.

Keep up the good work!

Piety

Thank you, Piety! I really enjoyed painting this and I appreciate your comments. Angel and Adonis have a pretty "comfortable" relationship. I was hoping to capture a bit of that.
