Geeze Tim,

Gotta say I'm liking this one a great deal! Super colors.

I've enjoyed watching

this develop Tim. I especially like her little mouth and the way her upper lip is distorted by the weight of her hand. I've seen that look in my own children many times.

This is so lovely! Can you tell us a little about how you decided on this composition? I read about how the "pitcher" contest started it all, but did you use a live model? I just love hearing the real behind-the-scene stories about how you put together a painting like this.

Marta, this one is one of those deals where the model (my Hannah) got a bit tired as time dragged by. Natural poses are often borne of tired subjects don't you find? It was the easiest painting I ever made-it flowed together without any effort. It will be printed (for show promotion) several places and has already sold. I'm using it for a special California Art Club section in Art of the West magazine too.

I'm glad it found pleasure with you,
Tim

Thank you Tim, for sharing your story! She is adorable!

Isn't if funny how our families become so involved with our projects? We dress them up and pose them like mannequins, make them sit still (except for the young ones) and take their picture under hot lights, and for the most part my family really has fun with it! The hard part is getting to them when we both have the time.
I'll be sure to pick up a copy of that magazine!

thumbs up Tim Rocks

Absolutely Fabulous! Your use of color and edges completely floors me. Which issue of Art of the West will this be in?

When I grow up, I want to be like Tim.

You're all very kind. My little green light didn't pop on, sorry I didn't reply sooner. Kent, I'm glad you notice the edges, they mean a lot to me also. Beth we both do the heavy metal huh? Did you post your copper on the still life thread?

Marta, I actually had a lovely young lady visit the studio today that was not even related to me! She has a profile right off a Greek vase! --but family will sure do many a day.
