The Patriot
Okay, I haven't posted a finished portrait here as yet, so here's one I just finished, based on my own oil study and photo. It's oil on canvas, 20" x 16".

Gary,
This painting turned out beautifully! Strong brushwork and great color.

Hi Gary,
I'm glad you've finished this. I really like what you've done - such a three-dimensional feel to this head and a lot of intensity, too. Well done!

Hi, Chris, and hi Linda.
Good to hear from you. As you know, this is Les, the model from the Scottsdale Artists School, and while it isn't that good a likeness, I think the painting is effective anyway. I titled it this way because I wanted it to be less portrait and more figurative.
Thanks for commenting.

Gary as I said before, I love how you handled the shirt! I am sure Les will love being a "Patriot" instead of a cowboy!
This came out wonderful! I am not sure if I should try and finish mine.
