Greetings!

Greetings! Having just joined this site, it is a real pleasure to see all of the quality artwork displayed. I am Sam, and I am an art guy. I love to work in marker and other mediums, and am only learning how to use this "box" called a computer!

I'm 41 years old, and still draw with kids on a daily basis. My wife is the portrait artist, yet I do draw a lot of caricatures and cartoons. I believe Art is the reflection of the creator, and as we create, it is a reflection of us or a mark that we have existed. I believe a lot people take art way too seriously, and they need to loosen up a bit! I've been a working artist since 1982, and feel as though this is what I have been created for. It is interesting how it always comes back to the face! My wife and I show children how to face paint, as well as how to draw basic portraits. i'm so glad I was introduced to this site. Hopefully, someday, I will be able to figure out how to scan my work into this contraption!

Well, thanks again, hopefully I can meet some new and wonderful people on this site!

Wow, Sam, that sounds really fun... how great to find a spouse that is interested in your passion too! Because of this "old computer" all of my "design" markers have dried up, in advertising we had to do all of our comps with them, and the computer really did away with that. Markers really gave great lessons on values, especially when they were black and white. I look forward to seeing your (and your wife's) work!
