Charlotte C, oil, 30 x 24




I actually took the reference photos with my Lowell Blender (see Lowell Blender post), indoors, with the warmest Kelvin setting, to mimic natural direct sunlight.

Beautiful work. I'm an enthusiastic proponent of high-key contrasts. They make the subject "pop," and to me they help make the difference between a snapshot and a genuine work of art.
