I think of this as an homage to my friend Sal Mineo, murdered in 1976 at age 36. Oil, 16x12".

Actually they did find out. It was a robbery. The killer was discovered when he was in prison in the midwest for an unrelated crime, and boasted to a cellmate about how he had murdered a celebrity.
