Portrait Artist Forum - Just a note to say hello!

Hello everyone, I just wanted to drop a little note and introduce myself and tell how enthralled I am to be a part of this artist community. I came across this innovative site through an internet search and was pleased at what I found.

I found my love of art eight to nine years ago when I took a painting class with my daughter and saw the endless possibilities that came along with painting. I began working in the field of decorative arts, taking workshops throughout the year. I then came across a man by the name of Frank Covino who taught me a whole new spectrum of painting, realistic portraiture. Through Frank's many workshops throughout the years I truly found the type of art I have grown to love.

I currently paint reproductions of Old Masters in the Renaissance manner, recreating works from William Bougereau to personal portraits. Through the experience with Frank I felt as if I was ready to take my artwork to another level and have begun taking classes from Tony Ryder. Tony's classes incorporate portrait drawing from life. I am also in the process of developing a website called Timeless-Portraiture.com which will give more information about my artwork and a gallery to view my current pieces.

I look forward to being a part of this site with such an informative group of professional painters. I would like to give my sincere thanks in advance for all your help.
