Hello from Vienna
 

I am happy to here in this forum, an exeptional great forum as I think!

So let me introduce myself:
I am 21 years old and studying History of Art in Vienna.
Two years ago I got in contact with the old masters painting techniques and was absolutely delighted. Until then painting was so fascinating so that I decided to become a professional artist. I most like to paint a portait because it enables me to depict liveliness and the individual character.

The portraits posted are the two portraits I have done until now. The first one(Christiane, 2011) is done in glazing technique. In the second (Laura, 2012) I also used opaque paint, especially in the hightlights.
Please critizise!!
I am here in hope of learning how to make good portaits. ;)
I will be glad of any hint that can help me.

Welcome! Do you know of the Austrian painter Robert Schoeller? I used to manage him until 1993. For several years running, he did the Donauinselfest (spelling?) poster and, in fact, I was in two of them. :)

There is a section on this forum just for critiques. Take a look for that and post there to ask for a critique of your work. This section is just for saying hello and letting us know who you are, so most will avoid critiquing here.
