Me as a Demo

I am captivated by it as is, so I will pretend it is done, but I may find time to add something.
I was showing a group of retirees I teach on Thursdays what I do when I prep for a portrait, how I work from my photos and fix what is broken. I took simple head shots of them all and was showing them how to mark and understand hard and soft edges. The rendering was just to teach them to think in big shapes to small, and if THEY have to volunteer their own faces, I did the same. 40 minutes with cheap paper and cheaper paints, but I am very happy with the results. |
Debra, you are a whiz with watercolor! I love it! Do you have to add anything - I like it as it is too!

Wow! That is beautiful. It looks so fresh and alive.
|
Love, love, love. Especially the values and edges!
|
Step away from the easel and drop the brush! It is wonderfully spontaneous and you will kick yourself later if you overwork it.
|
You have this down to a science Debra. Don't think I've ever seen such fresh watercolor portraiture as you produce. Alive and effortless (or so it would appear). Am in awe.
