My son is now married! What a beautiful day we had and a beautiful reception. The kids really enjoyed themselves. My painting was on display at the reception and I think everyone approached me with compliments. Lots of people taking pictures of it. Most importantly and the ones I worried about the most were the bride and mother of the bride. They both love it. I signed up one couple this week to do their two boys, from them seeing the painting - Yeah! a Bonus!

Congratulations! New commissions are the most honest compliment for me.

Lovely portrait and what a way to commemorate a new life together! They will cherish this for years. Congragulations!

Patty, I'm most proud of you for doing OILS. I know how much you love to work in color, but how often you work in B/W. You did a great job. What mother- or daughter-in-law wouldn't be ecstatic?

Congrats Patty! A beautiful piece for a beautiful occasion! :)

Thank you Natalie and Terri. Yes, I love to work in oils but consider myself so, so, inexperienced. This was a huge challenge for me, however, as you well know, it seems easier when you know your subjects as well as I know my son and his bride. It also was fun to do because their new love and excitement towards their life together is so beautifully contagious. It gave me much joy while I was painting!
