Tempe Art Center demos for opening.

I was recruited as local color for an opening at our swanky Tempe Art Center last night. Three other "students" worked on two models in pastels and pencil during the evening. I was the brave (dumb?) one that brought oils.
The brunette, the first model, was one hour on a 16x12" canvas. The blonde was two hours, as the third model did not show. It was a 12x9".

Great job as usual.

Brave, but with good reason. These are very nice!

Thank you both.
I have a lot of trouble getting past that bravura stage! I always love my life work in the first two sessions because I am always amazed at how much you can actually do with so little, and I somehow feel that the more paint and corrections, the more I am sort of at the mercy of my skills. At this point it is all adrenalin and instinct for me. And that is as much of a thrill seeker as I can say I am.

WOW! Those are great! Love the brushwork that happens when an artist has to work quickly!
