Charcoal drawing

This is a little drawing I made of my wife this week. It is 12 x 9 charcoal on Strathmore paper.

Comments welcome.

Edit: No matter how much I tinker with the contrast I can't get the jpg to look like the original. The lines of the profile aren't as light as they appear here.

I started with Vine and finished with charcoal pencils from General Pencil. I believe I used all three hardnesses on this.

The paper was Strathmore 400 series 80 pound paper.

I like this very much. Well balanced composition and subtle handling of the medium!

Hi Jeff --

Somehow missed this when you first posted it. I'm glad someone responded and brought it back up to the 'new posts' list!

Beautifully done!
