Cropping the painting

I am working on a painting of two orphans from Uganda. Today I looked at it and thought, "Maybe I should have cropped it closer on top, not left so much space above the childrens' heads." What do you think?

Well, I tried to compress the file but can't get it smaller than 112. So, I can't attach it. Also, when I do that, it gets very fuzzy. Any suggestions?

Also, I would love to go to seminars and get some mentoring. However, it appears that all of the workshops are out of my area. Does anyone know any good artists in the Sacramento area who give workshops?

Thanks.

Angie, send the pic to me at [email protected], and I'll see if I can upload it for you.

How does this look?

cropping

It looks great! Thanks. Do you think I should have cropped it on top so that it is closer to the tops of their heads? I played with it on photoshop and I think I decided it looks best the way it is. It didn't look balanced cropped more. What do you think?

I think it needs the space on top. The composition looks balanced just as it is.

Thanks

Thanks, Alexandra! I tend to second guess myself. Most people don't realize how many decisions go into painting a picture.
