Two portraits

I have been working on these two portraits recently. One is official commission for the University of Dubrovnik, the other being a private commission for the Dean. They measure 32x25 inches.
I started with verdaccio and proceeded with glazes and scumbles.

The uploaded jpgs have a certain reddish cast which was not present on the original photos. It must be due to different color spaces. My working is sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
Btw, here is a shot of the wet sanding of the verdaccio.

Hi Valentino,

The portrait turned out nice. Looks like you are kept rather busy! :)
I have a question, why do you sand the verdaccio?

I do not overblend verdaccio. Therefore I (lightly) wet sand before proceeding with the next layer because I prefer glazing on smooth - though not smooth as glass - surfaces. Glazing over the visible brush marks might produce unwanted results, since it exaggerates the "relief" look (*) which I was not after in this case.
If it happens on the eye or mouth it might be quite noticeable. Besides, sanding between coats improves adherence.

(*) - Rembrandt's brush marks are most famous example. In many cases, what appears as very thick (almost bas-relief) impasto is actually result of his glazing over only moderately thick impasto.
