Hello to everyone.

This is a young dance teacher who specializes in flamenco and other regional dances. I wanted to do a dancer but didn

Beautiful Carlos!
Very nice composition. Such a nice athmosphere, we almost can breath the same air than her.I Always love your earthy palette.
The choice of her pose is a very good idea, it doesn't look like something we've already seen, but still have a very nice classical feeling.
Congratulations!

This is completely stunning! It's classic, elegant, and the angles are all handled so well. Kudos!

Carlos! (Again) This is so stunning, captivating, and memorable! I am in deep awe. This is to be a perpetual classic and favorite. While the image is new and fresh, the theme is resonant, touching, and familiar.

Perfection! What a great composition and orchestration of design and color!

Bravo

Carlos, this is such a beautiful painting! I love the carefully considered design elements in this painting, the vertical lines repeating themselves, and of course the profile of the pale face agains the dark panel. For me, a coiled red drape evokes a Caravaggio-esque sense of controlled passion, which is an excellent metaphor for flamenco.

I have painted several such dancers as models when I teach here in Arizona. When my eyesight gives out, I'm taking up flamenco as a new career. ;)

Congratulations on another intelligent and stunning painting. It's always a great pleasure to see your work here.

Carlos, Carlos!

This is so subtly beautiful. The scarf is such a beautiful accent.

I really am impressed that you resisted the easy fix of a trite image and went for a feeling of gentle anticipation instead. Lovely!

Marina and Lacey, thanks for your vote of approval and kind words. I had her try several poses and she was even game enough to dance while I (tried) to sketch. Then I tried a classic stance (similar to Sargent

Carlos, this is excellent! I am sure that there are areas that you think could be even better but why. No, I really like this as it is and I am sure it will serve not only as a excellent composition and painting but I believe that it will serve as a excellent teaching tool for generations to come. Good for you!

Wonderful sense of "air" (as in atmosphere)!

A great success...

Best as always--TE
