Carlos, this is such a beautiful painting! I love the carefully considered design elements in this painting, the vertical lines repeating themselves, and of course the profile of the pale face agains the dark panel. For me, a coiled red drape evokes a Caravaggio-esque sense of controlled passion, which is an excellent metaphor for flamenco.

I have painted several such dancers as models when I teach here in Arizona. When my eyesight gives out, I'm taking up flamenco as a new career. ;)

No, I really like this as it is and I am sure it will serve not only as a excellent composition and painting but I believe that it will serve as a excellent teaching tool for generations to come.
