Triple Portrait
 

30" x 24" oil on linen. This is actually a triple portrait: Interior of a beloved home and the couple who recently sold it. They have approved the final you see here.

Great composition! I am really enjoying looking at this. The colors are so pleasing: the combination of pastels, greys, and bright areas with just a few well-placed dark areas. You get such a comfortable feeling of the couple in their familiar and beloved surroundings--I can see why they commissioned this as a memory of themselves in their house.

Thank you, Alexandra! Here is a detail of her face. Both photos were taken in best available light. Somehow, the ochre shades on her chin and his shirt are a tad more pronounced here and above than in the actual painting.
