Charlie, again

I have a regular spot under the mist-ers at the Princess Resort in north Scottsdale. I have been trying to show up a couple of times a week and it is producing a really loyal following of the hotel staff and a marginal dispursement of brochures internationally. I have actually seen one or two people twice, so if I hang in there long enough I will get a stride.

Usually I demo animals or something more splashy but this is from a photo session a few years ago. I did a pastel on watercolor paper of this little waitress in her mom's cafe. Oddly, the family was at the hotel yesterday so I showed her the picture on the brochure. That little smile RIGHT in my face made me go back to the photos and this was the demo today.

Glad to see you are still at it and that you can stay marginally cool under misters! I love her expression and the colors you used. Pastels are your medium.

Will the family buy the portrait of their daughter?

This is a great little piece, Debra.
