Tony Pro Paintings

Last night I discovered Tony Pro was being represented by the Legacy Gallery in Scottsdale. So, this morning I just had to go see his paintings live and in person. I am so impressed! What beautiful work! So sensitive, yet,at the same time, so authoritative. The "Mother and Child" painting is there. That painting is so... provocative. I don't know how to explain how it makes me feel. It takes a very traditional subject and sets it right on the edge. It's not sappy, or overtly sentimental, like so many "Madonna and child" type pictures can be. It's thoroughly modern and in a way, it's almost haunting - like a moment in time being replayed over and over again. And the way it's painted is just amazing. Everything is so understated. I'm hooked...

Great job, Tony Pro! I'm your newest fan.

Wow,,, that has to be one of the best descriptions of my paintings I have ever heard.... I am humbled! Kimber I need to hire you as my PR agent!

It was so great to meet you and I am so sorry I got pulled away from our conversation. I regret not being able to say goodbye to you.

I hope to see you in Dallas at the PSA show!

Thanks again for coming to the show and thank you for your kind words and support. It means a lot to me!

Tony :)

Tony, your promo video is pretty darned cool. What are your plans for its use?

Tony,

I remember visiting Hiligoss Galleries and seeing some beautiful figurative work- I think it must have been yours.

May I ask what is the music in your promo video? It's very inspiring!

Tony, the words and support are well deserved. I'm sad to say, however, we've never met. It seems there are two Kimbers in the valley (in the "art world," anyway) and the other one seems to get around much more than I do!

Anyway, I'm sure we will meet one day... until then we will paint!

Happy New Year!

Kimber

I must have mistaken you for someone else... Thank you for coming to see my work...

I wish i could have met you at the gallery at the Christmas opening...

I am, however, going to be at the opening for Dan Gerhartz show at Legacy Gallery.... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this show to anyone in the vicinity of Pheonix to go see this master's work. He is one of the best painters living today, in my opinion and I wouldn't miss Dan's show for the world...

Tony

It's funny, I get that question from everyone that see this video...

The music is from the soundtrack score of the film, "Signs" by James Newton Howard.

Thanks for the compliments....

The trailer is mainly a promo piece... nothing else.
I won't be collecting any Oscars in the near future.... :)

Maybe it was me you were thinking of, Tony?
Sorry, I just spotted this post...
Kimber is right, your work is terrific and your paintings were wonderful to see at the show. A big congratulations to you! The Legacy is a very prestigious gallery and it's nice to see them moving in the direction of figurative work.

There is no mistaking you, Linda....
Someone from Chris Saper's workshop came too and I can't recall her name. I think I confused Kimber for her.

Thanks for the kudos though...
